The S3SF consortium is thrilled to announce the development of a Transnational curriculum on smart energy systems for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. This comprehensive curriculum was based on a previous analysis carried out by project partners in Ireland, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Denmark (A Comprehensive analysis report is available on the website) and designed to empower VET trainers, teachers, and VET providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare the next generation of energy professionals.
By adopting the curriculum, VET providers will equip individuals with the latest knowledge and practical skills on Smart Energy Systems (SES). This approach integrates smart electricity, thermal, and gas systems to enhance energy efficiency in buildings. Through this initiative, S3SF partners aim to foster innovation and accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable future for Europe by 2050.
Key Features of the S3SF Transnational VET Curriculum are:
• Industry-aligned: The curriculum is aligned with the current industry standards and best practices, ensuring learners acquire the skills sought after by employers.
• Comprehensive Coverage: The curriculum delves into a wide range of topics, including renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency measures, smart grid technologies, cybersecurity and project management.
• Flexible Delivery: The curriculum is designed to be adaptable to various learning styles and delivery methods, catering to the diverse needs of learners and institutions
• Digital Delivery: The curriculum has been translated into six training modules accessible on the S3SF digital platform (https://www.s3sf.eu/digital-platform/)
• Practical Approach: The curriculum incorporates real-world case studies and hands-on exercises to provide learners with practical experience and problem-solving skills.
The S3SF VET curriculum on smart energy systems is now available on the project website for use (https://www.s3sf.eu/deliverables/ by VET providers across Europe, allowing them to support learners to thrive in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.
